Overlay flooring offers most of the advantages of Strip Flooring. The major differences being thickness. An overlay floor can range from 12mm to 15mm where Strip Flooring is 19mm or 21mm. Overlay Flooring can be more cost effective and is more commonly used in homes built on concrete slabs and for people who have height restrictions.
